Our History: Fran Culter started The Magical Garden after the local food co-op closed down. She wanted there to be a place where people could still buy bulk herbs. At the time no other store in the area carried them. Over the next few decades the store grew in many directions, and more items were added to the inventory.
Now we carrying on the tradition of quality products at reasonable prices, into the new century. Fran had been a friend and mentor to Papa Cat for over 20 years. Although she has passed on to a higher plain, we think she is still watching & guiding us. We may make a few cosmetic updates to the store, but the Spirit of The Magical Garden will never change thanks to her.
The Magical Garden has been on 6th avenue for over a quarter of a century now and will continue to be. We moved locations but decided to stay true to our roots here on 6th Ave. We have always looked for the finest makers of the products we carry, at the lowest prices so we can pass the savings on to our customers.
Store Owner: Rev. Ryan “Papa Cat” Ingram has been practicing the spiritual and occult arts for over thirty years. Dedicated in European witchcraft at age thirteen. He has spent many years studying, practicing and perfecting his own personal and eclectic magical style blending European, Native American and Caribbean magics. Papa Cat has developed a style of mystical practices for every situation. Papa Cat creates personal mojos, charms and talisman for his clients through his wide practical knowledge, intuition and divination, with each item customized for each individual.
Store Manager: Rev. EveLyn Karhnet LMP comes from a long lineage of “Healers” and “Wise Women” and was traditionally trained from a very young age. Having started so young with such a fountain of information she is wise well beyond her years. With almost three decades of study and practical knowledge she has developed a niche in the community for Oracle (the art of divination) and interpersonal relationship spells and charms. EveLyn has also furthered her experience for this lifetime by receiving a formal education in the arts of touch therapy and is a fully Nationally Certified Licensed Massage Therapist. With her knowledge of the Arts, healing touch, and many years managing three small businesses EveLyn is a wonderful compliment to our Magical Garden family. We are delighted and proud to have her as our manager.
